Addison's Notes:

This recording was a fun one to experience in the room up in Montreal. The dudes ripped each time, similar to how Jake Handleman played trombone on the track afterwards.

We stayed at an apartment above the recording studio in Montreal and each night Lew and I would regroup and try to make some dinner in our tiny tiny kitchenette we were afforded. We also shared the same bed for two weeks, which was a return to our days sharing the same bedroom as kids. I think the playfulness on this track and all over the album was emboldened/fostered by the playfulness being in that apartment each night and every morning. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything.


Lew's Notes:

Thinking of Chuck Berry on this one. Cut to the chase. Jake's playing is wild on this track. He's funky and has some of the best ears I've come in contact with.
