Addison's Notes:

Our first listen to this after Mark Lawson did his masterful mixing was awe-inspiring. It definitely laid me out; the way all these parts coalesced into one strong statement. This is one of my favorite outcomes of the record.

I have a distinct memory of us working on these lyrics around a piano in a cramped practice room on campus at IU. Some of these lines are very personal and it's nice to document and share those feelings.

This was the first track to have Ryan Payton playing lap steel on it, the initial reason we had him in the studio. His tone is heartfelt. He was so good at riffing that we had him additionally record on "Future," dramatically shifting the world that song lives in. He does a bang-up job here.

What Add said for sure. My memory of cutting the basic rhythm track with Jamie and Patrice that cold night in Montreal will always be with me. Patrice for the gold on this one.
