Addison's Notes:

Lewis started this one while in Hawaii. He was there to play ukelele for the wedding of a very good pal's mom. He continued writing the song while perched at the top of the Morton parking garage; taking in the sunset.

After returning from his travels, Lewis thought that my spirit might be akin to those on the island. Later on that same friend, who's mom's wedding Lew played, would come back from travels in Italy and find that I would fit in even more so there. Is that braggy?


Lew's Notes:

Yes (eye roll). These lyrics were a stream of consciousness during a period of time one summer when I would watch the sunset from a parking garage several times a week. Watching the clouds subtle movement became a habit for me. Nothing more satisfying as a songwriter when all the lyrics come out at one time. Less work the better.
